Fall TV anyone?

We are seriously in a bad way around this house in our DVR.  Even the special summer shows have run out and we are left {egad} with live TV.  Yesterday I had about 5 loads of laundry to fold so I turned on Food Network and got to work.  About an hour into my laundress duties, Kiera disappeared from my side.  Side note, this kid loves TV.  She will watch anything and can't leave the room if a show is on.

I find her later doing the "food show" in the playroom.  She ended up making all kinds of recipes and cooked it up for over an hour.  Who says TV is bad for kids.  When are those shows starting?  C'mon already, people.  We need some new shows, or the family might just have to wear dirty clothes.

Rap a tap tap

Guess what time it is again, folks.

We might be crazy, but both Neve and Maren made it on the dance team at their studio and we are jumping in with both feet!

Wish us luck. Six classes a week between them might just kill me. Anyone know of a good way to do scriptures in the car (audio) that would interest children? Just call me cabbie.

Happy Birthday Mr. C

How lucky are we to be able to wish this guy happy birthday for the very first time.

Too adorable.

A visitor from the South

Guess who...

Yep. That's right. Grandmommy is here again. Yahoo!

It was gonna be a scorcher (by Bay Area standards) so we drove down to Manresa SB. The kids couldn't believe how hot it was at the beach (80 and sunny). They ouched and oooohed walking across the hot beach.

Kiera says this is a pooper-scooper. Watch out for the doggie-doo patrol.

It was so nice to sit at the beach in our bathing suits, instead of sweatshirts. We even played in the water. Then, we prepared our palates for a trip to Pizza My Heart in Capitola.

We figured even lactose intolerance couldn't keep us from getting a slice and a shirt. She has pills for that you know.

Oh how my girls love their Grandmommy. Poor girl, they couldn't leave her alone for one minute.

I may have mentioned that Grandmommy wasn't going to stay forever...

Can't wait until tomorrow when we get to have you back from Josh and Sarah's. Stay forever. Please.

Equals end of summer bliss

Can you tell I am not ready for summer to be over?

First Day of School

We are all about the neon in our new school clothes choices this year (especially one 4th grader). Dear Fashion world: why, why must we relive our past mistakes?

They were adorable and so ready to head back to school, despite the attitude of their mother.
